From November 1 to 12, 2025, IRD is launching its first mentoring campaign on Planète IRD+.This initiative isaimed at researchers and alumni of IRD programs who would like to mentor PhD students in the ARTS program or winners of the Innovation Trophies. The aim of this mentoring program is to encourage the support, integration and sharing of experience within our scientific community.

Mentoring at IRD is a voluntary relationship based on trust, benevolence and mutual respect. It is an essential lever for :

• Breaking the isolation and facilitating the scientific and cultural integration of young researchers,
• Promote the transfer of experience, know-how and expertise,
• Develop scientific and professional networks,
• Strengthen the sense of belonging to the Planète IRD+ community.

By becoming a mentor, you commit to :

• Offer a time of listening and sharing,
• Pass on your experience, knowledge and network,
• Support the professional and personal development of mentees,
• Contribute to the collective dynamic of the IRD+ Planet platform.

The mentoring program lasts 12 months, with a minimum of four scheduled meetings (video or face-to-face).
