Launch of the IRD Alumni Network in Central Africa on the occasion of the Fête de la Science in Ma'am
Every year in Cameroon, IRD organizes the Fête de la Science! This year, IRD researchers and alumni from the region gathered at Ma'am from May 30 to June 1, 2025 to officially launch the IRD Alumni Network in Central Africa.
Panel "What contributions can IRD make to training and capacity-building initiatives?
The panel moderated by Régis Guillaume (International Technical Expert at Cameroon's Ministry of Higher Education and professor at the University of Toulouse) brought together some twenty alumni from Cameroon, and a representative from Gabon, Judicael Obame Nkoghe (teacher-researcher at Masuku University of Science and Technology), Lise Mavoungou (teacher at Marien Ngouabi University) representing Congo, and Thierry Leroy, Regional Director of the Centre de coopération internationale en recherche agronomique pour le développement (CIRAD).
