Call for projects - Belmont Forum - RESILIENCE 2025
The Belmont Forum, an international partnership of research funding bodies of which ANR is a member, is launching a call for proposals in the field of risk science. The call, entitled "Resilience", is designed to encourage transdisciplinary research into managing the vulnerability and resilience of socio-environmental systems in exposed territories.
Inspired by the recent COVID-19 pandemic crisis, this new Collaborative Research Action (CRA), called Resilience, builds in particular on the Belmont Forum's previous CRA entitled Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience (DR3, 2019) and aims to define and promote "new" concepts of risk management that take better account of global change and the rapidly evolving relationship between societies and nature. Expected outcomes include the development of risk science in line with sustainability science, the co-production of knowledge, a focus on highly vulnerable territories, informed governance and the emergence of a new generation of scientists and stakeholders able to better cope with ever-increasing environmental risks.
Funding will support research consortia made up of international partners from a variety of disciplines. The project duration is 36 months. For further information on the call themes and general funding eligibility criteria, applicants are invited to consult the dedicated call webpage on the Belmont Forum website: https: //www.belmontforum.org/cras
Deadline for submitting pre-proposals: 17/10/2025 at 20:00 CEST
Deadline for submission of complete projects: 12/02/2026 at 20:00 CET
